Camilo A. Ospina S.

Camilo is aphysician at CES University and a specialist in public health at the University of Antioquia. He has more than 25 years of experience in public health and social security administration with a focus on innovation and development of products and services based on new technologies. For 15 years he was the director of innovation and development in the SURA group for the VP of Social Security. He has also been an entrepreneur and entrepreneur of Ubiquo Telemedicina, a leading company and pioneer of Telemedicine in Colombia. Camilo resides in Medellin Colombia and is fluent in English in addition to his native Spanish.

He was part of the executive team that founded the company Pharmacielo, there as VP of innovation and Product Development for three year she developed the portfolio of cosmetic, medicinal and phyto therapeutic products with a focus on export to countries and regulated markets and ledthe strategy for the end user.

Camilo has completed diplomas and courses in strategic management, marketing, people development, innovation, quality and safety. This training has allowed him to lead teams and projects with challenges of great responsibility. Thanks to its experience and relationships it has a wide network of contacts in Mexico,Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Canada, USA and European Union.

For more than 7 years Camilo has been a pioneer in the formulation and ethical and responsible use of medicinal cannabis for patients with chronic ailments, cancer and chemotherapy, neuropathic pain, neurodegenerative diseases, post-traumatic stress and diseases that affect the immune system. Camilo led the topic of professional education in therapeutic cannabis for health professionals and the creation of the Colombian Medical Association of Medicinal Cannabis (ASOMEDCCAM) of which he is founder and member of the board of directors.

Currently with Calyx Group he leads the development of products and markets related to therapeutic, cosmetic and food use of cannabinoids and cannabis extracts. With his knowledge and charisma Camilo can contribute valuable concepts and experience to achieve a portfolio of cannabis products with the correct orientation of markets and a marked sensitivity for patient users and health personnel.

In parallel, Camilo continues to care for patients with ailments that can be treated with cannabis, maintaining first-hand contact with families and individuals who benefit from therapeutic applications.
